Giovanni Guaita is an Italian historian, researcher of Eastern Christianity and writer. Assistant Professor of the Moscow Linguistic University.
Guaita was born in 1962 in Italy. He studied in different Western European and Russian (Moscow and St Petersburg) universities.
He is the author of some books three of which on the Armenian theme.
He was ordained as deacon and priest in the Russian Orthodox Church and than tonsured as monk in Troitse-Sergiyeva Lavra.
